Situated on the North bank of the river Douro, half way between Regua and Pinhao, Quinta do Crasto is arguably the finest estate for the production of red wine in Portugal. The top bottlings have achieved the highest Parker ratings so far of any wine in the country but there is also great strength in depth all the way from the mid priced range to the entry level Douro Red which regularly wins accolades for its exceptional value for money. This wine is made from a blend of Douro grapes including a high proportion of Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional.

Quinta do Crasto's Douro Red is a vibrant and fresh colour, with purple hues. Intense aromas of fruits of the forest, blackberries and raspberries. A medium bodied palate which is rich in wild berry characters. The wine finishes with great length, balance and texture. Ideal with lamb and roasted red meat dishes.
