A small family-run bodega near the village of Navarrete, in the heart of Rioja D.O.C., making wines of great integrity and some finesse. It was founded in 1918 and is today run by Antonio Navajas and his wife. This is a big favourite of many of our customers and on a 'value for money' basis it is not hard to understand why. Comes from the oldest vineyard, pruned in the traditional style and greed harvested to ensure that only a few small brunches grow. They strive to attain the ideal leaf exposure for optimum pysiological, and above all, polyphenolic repiness, that will later enable them to extract the best qualities of the three varieties chosen.

This wine is ruby-red with a medium intensity, complex and fits in well with the aromas typical of the varieties used - ripe red fruit, liquorice, and those given off by oak: herbal, cinnamon and peper. Its is rounded, sliky and broad, but vigorous and robust in the same time. A noteworthy harmony in the mouth, lightly tannic with a tasty finish, leaving a long, warm and elegantaftertaste. Particulary good with Iberian cold meat, red meat and game.
