Canadian Whisky

Canadian is a type of whisky produced in Canada. Most of it is blended multi-grain spirit with a large proportion of corn. 

Rye whisky is still often used as a synonym for Canadian whisky due to historical reasons. However, there are no legal requirements as to what percentage of rye should be used provided the spirit “possess the aroma, taste and character generally attributed to Canadian whisky” (Canadian Food and Drug Regulations).
