Shawsgate is the leading Suffolk winery, first planted in 1973 near Framlingham with mostly white varieties. With six hectares of vineyards now planted and a modern winemaking facility, including plenty of stainless steel and a temperature-regulated cellar, Shawsgate also make wine for several other Suffolk vineyards and have become something of a winemaking hub in this area. This light spritzy wine is full of ripe fruit whose complexities are subtly disguised by an elegant palate of light melon, orange, pineapple and grapefruit. The palate has a good strength of tropical fruit flavours beneath a soft rounded acidity, with lingering grapefruit to give length. Ideally paired with seafood and salads as well as being delicious on its own.more ↓ less ↑
