Generously aromatic on the nose with notes reminiscent of meadow flowers, leading to a soft and appealing medium dry palate balanced by a tangy finish. Orchard fruit dominates the palate with notes of ripe pear and crunchy apple. Enjoy over the next couple of years, pair with lemon sole.

Halfpenny Green Vineyards (Bobbington, Staffordshire) were first planted by Martin Vickers in 1983, whose ambition was to one day hold a vineyard that would match continental sites. 30 years on, and now working alongside his winemaker son clive, they have numerous regional, national and international awards including a bronze for their Penny Black and English Rose at the UK Viticultural Awards.
