Saint-Mont is a up and coming wine region in the Gascogne, south of Bordeaux. The VDQS designation is used for vineyards that are progressing towards full Appellation status. The Producteurs Plaimont co-operative has been at the heart of this improvement and this hand-picked white shows why. It is a blend of the local grape varieties of Arrufiac, Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng. Clean, fresh aromas of quince, lemon, pear and a hint of mango. Surprisingly flavoursome to taste with crisp apple, whitecurrant and nectarine flavours and crisp, refreshing acidity.Impressively long, zesty finish. Remarkably youthful and great value. A perfect match for seafood and fish
